WordPress 2.9 Beta 2 is Released

WordPress 2.9 Beta 2 is now available for download. Another way to test it is by using WordPress Beta Tester plugin and auto-upgrade a test installation.
A few of new features included in WordPress 2.9 Beta 2:
For Developers
- Comments meta table
- Improved support for custom post types
- register_theme-directory() for additional theme locations
- back-ported JSON encode/decode for both PHP and JavaScript
For Users
- oEmbed support
- “Trash” for posts, pages and comments
- Post thumbnails support
- Basic image editor
